The use of the technology (computer plus software)into the classroomm is a good tool for encouraging the student learning. However if we explore the the colombian high school situation , more than one it does not have the technogical tools for developing this methodology. Althoght we are learning how to use the tecnology for teaching of english language. We must be prepared for all situation when we have to face the new technology up when we have the change to use it with the students. Finally we have a long way to walk into the english teaching and learning and we must think of being the best teachers for our students.

These activities are very interesting for the children. They will enjoy a lot if we practice some of them in our schools as a complement of our normal work.These computer games are really funny, and permet the interaction with the new technologies. Students love this kind of learning.

I went through the different online activities and I found them interesting. For example: The Alphabet quiz is very fun and helps to manage the order of the Alphabet; because it makes rich the vocabulary of the student too.
The cloze quiz helps fundamentally to manage and master the verb to be in present or its three forms, for the good of the students.
The game homophones teaches the student to identify the homophones, learning new words and acquiring linguistic ability while playing with vocabulary.

The games in the activity are really fantastic for students. I know they love playing while they learn. If we can use these tools in our schools, we will open new possibilities in the teaching of the English, because the students will relate New technologies and English, and this fact can let us to do and easier work and, can let the students a more agreable learning.

However, as it is well know, public schools usually don´t have suitable computer rooms to develop successfully this practice.

I´m very sad when I visit an internet room and I see a lot of young people playing different games all time, but most of them are not useful for them. I think the new technologies are not use in a good way. It would be important to use the computer as a learning tool too. The young people can use the computer to play learning games.There are a variety of wonderful games that can help young people to learn english for example. I was playing many times during the holy week and I think that english teachers can motivate to our students to use the computer to learn english through the games.

This reading was very interesting for me. Knowledge about brain function in education is very important for both parents and teachers. According to these theories, such as multiple intelligences, learning differences between men and women, different brain functions, are factors that must be taken into account to obtain better results in learning. As teachers of English, reading invites us to stimulate different kinds of intelligences, in this way learning is more effective and enjoyable.
Most of our educational institutions have a large number of students by grade, of both sexes and of different cultural level, therefore, these theories permit us to teach according to individual differences of our students.
I think that reading is an invitation to continue studying into these topics in order to obtain better results in our work of teaching.

ReplyDeleteI found interesting and nice interactive activities for developing with the students and we can adapt them to any group. Although we don't have computerss, we could realize them in a writing way, for ex. using photocopies, making a board and putting the words on it for matching...
With these games the class wil be dynamic and our students are going to practice and improve vocabulary. Really, I enjoyed the activities.

The interactive games are really usefull in the class. They does it more amusing and interesting for students. Have a system classroom in our high schools with computers for every student is a dream which the public ones can´t renounce.

ReplyDeleteFirst,let me to tell you that the use of technology (computer plus software)is an important tool for English teaching because through it the students can play and learn in a pleasent way and I hope that the college gets these tools for making more interesting classes and encourage my students to learn more and more English.
In my college, my students have many difficulties for learning English,one of them is that they cannot lookup quickly in the dictionary the meaning of the words because they do not manage the alphabetical order of the letters neither the alphabetical words order one,two,three,four and the free alphabet quizzes is one excellent exercise for getting ability for learning this capacity.

This lesson plan has been a very good tool this blog gives us. It is really important to have the opportunity to know and handle as many different methodologies, games, and activities as we can, in order to catch the students attention. Unfortunately our schools do not have the goods we need to carry out this successful mechanism to the teaching learning English. In spite of it, we must be open mind and trying to look for things, materials that help us to improve our hard task and this is a very good resort to get our goals. Thanks.

Children learn with more participation in the class and they are very motivate during the class.
Flashcards activities permit children concentrate and remenber main aspect in the process of learning;too they can obtain or remenber more vocabulary.

ReplyDeleteinteractive English is a very useful tool to learn and to improve English in a dinamic and amusing way. it provides a meaningful experience of learning and call the student´s attention. they can fell motivated to improve their skills. the different kind of activities give the oppotunity to children of feeling free when they are playing a game and at the same time they are learning . the activities that they develop help them in their reinforcement procces of knowledge and they feel that they are part of their own learning process in an active and easy way.

The third activity is very funny, I can not use the system room because it´s only for system class and there isn´t a chance to work there, but I´m going to do my owm material about concentration game to work in the classroom, I know my students will enjoy it.

For example: the students in all ages like to cut paper, draw and paint different things and paint with a lot of material, they like much to hear tale stories, so it´s very important don´t compare with each other. Avoid competition with preschoolers. It can be stressful and overwhelm them. Play win-win, or where you not only a winner.
Use stories. The stories are a terrific resource for preschool children, people want to hear the same stories told over and over again. We all love the stories - just think of the worldwide popularity of the films.
You can use games and activities to teach the keywords in history, inspiring children with colorful illustrations to help them understand and act parts of stories or the full story later with role-playing, games and fantasy.
